Channel Management

iTVManager’s Channel Management capabilities let you define a channel lineup for your entire service area or for each region you create within your service area. Multiple channel line-ups give you control of the channel numbers as seen and used by your subscribers.

  This screen shows how you map the internal channel IDs (each with a multicast address) to channel numbers that your subscribers will see and use on the TV.

  This feature means that a single multicast stream (a channel) can be shared across different subscribers or regions within your service area but with different on-TV channel numbers. This feature is useful, for example, if you want to re-use some numbers for local channels or if you want to match channel numbers with an incumbent, cable or satellite TV service to make it more comfortable for users to switch.
