Minerva’s new cloud service allows operators to seamlessly transform their television services while preserving their investment in legacy infrastructure.

San Antonio, TX – February 12, 2018 – Minerva Networks, the leading provider of next-generation service management platforms for connected entertainment, unveiled today an innovative cloud television service that enables operators to transition from their legacy set-top box centric offerings to advanced services delivering a personalized user experience across both managed and unmanaged devices.

Powered by the Company’s state-of-the-art Minerva 10 platform, combined with other best-of-breed content recommendation, content security and video processing systems, the new hosted and managed service offers operators unmatched flexibility vis-à-vis their video services upgrade strategy.

A highly-optimized native client application enables Minerva to seamlessly refresh the user experience on a broad range of legacy set-top boxes, allowing operators to offer a next-generation television experience without disrupting subscribers and while preserving revenue streams from their existing consumer premise equipment. Service providers can equip new subscribers with next-generation set-top boxes or, if their access network and content rights allow it, they can deliver services directly to consumer devices. The Minerva Cloud TV service supports a variety of streaming media and mobile devices, including Apple TV, Roku TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV as well as iOS and Android tablets and smart phones.

“We are delighted to be able to offer our existing customers as well as new prospects the most efficient and cost-effective solution to upgrade their legacy video offerings,” said Matt Cuson, VP of Marketing at Minerva Networks. “The hosted and managed service we are unveiling today is ideally suited for telco and cable operators eager to transition to next-generation television services while minimizing capital expenses, support costs and revenue losses from existing infrastructure.”

The new cloud-based service supports advanced features including voice control, start-over, catch-up TV, and cloud DVR, and delivers a premium viewing experience, consistent across both set-top boxes and streaming media devices. Minerva is currently exhibiting at NCTC’s Winter Education Conference in San Antonio, Texas (Booth 213).
