In order to use the YourTV app, you must be a subscriber to a television service being delivered by a service provider (a “TV Service Provider”) which has deployed Minerva’s software platform. The YourTV app collects the following types of information:
(a) In order to activate the YourTV app, you must provide your username and password that identifies you to your TV Service Provider. No additional personal information is required.
(b) When you use the YourTV app, it will be able to identify which services you are entitled to (free or paid) and how you are using the service provided through the app, including what programming you are watching, what programs have been scheduled or have been recorded through a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) service, search usage, and program bookmarks (where you started or stopped watching a particular program). The YourTV app also captures information about the type of device on which the app is installed.
(c) The application uses the device IP address to determine if a specific piece of content may be played on that device from the IP address. The IP address is not stored. Precise geolocation information is not used.
(d) The application collects free text data to perform searches, add text labels to profiles and user created lists. This information is stored on servers and retrieved by the application for each user session.
How the Information is Used
None of the information collected through the YourTV app is provided to Minerva or otherwise tracked or maintained by Minerva.
All of the information collected through the YourTV app is provided to the TV Service Provider which is providing the television service you are accessing through the YourTV app. That TV Service Provider uses the information at least to confirm that you are a current subscriber to their service and may use it for other purposes. Minerva does not know, nor have control over, how the information collected through the YourTV app is used by your TV Service Provider.
You should contact your TV Service Provider to understand how the information collected through the YourTV app is used.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information collected through the YourTV app. You should contact your TV Service Provider to understand what security procedures they employ with regard to the information provided to them through the YourTV app.
Do Not Track
Minerva does not collect or maintain any information collected through the YourTV app. Therefore, any “do not track” election that you may make is inapplicable to Minerva
As described above, the YourTV app allows your TV Service Provider to collect information about you and your use of the YourTV app, including what programming you are watching, what programs have been scheduled, etc.
Notice of Changes
Minerva may amend this Policy from time to time by posting the updated terms on this page. In addition, if we make any material changes in this Policy, we will include a notice to that effect in the YourTV app. Your continued use of the YourTV app after the effective date of any change in this Policy constitutes your agreement to such changes.
