Minerva Networks and Agama Deepen Integration to Help Operators Resolve Issues Faster and Keep Viewers Engaged

Expanded collaboration connects Minerva’s AI-driven TV platform with Agama’s real-time video observability and analytics to optimize QoE, eliminate friction, and unlock new monetization opportunities for operators worldwide.
SAN JOSE, Calif. & LINKÖPING, Sweden — October 00, 2026 — Minerva Networks, a pioneer in the use of artificial intelligence and cloud-native solutions to transform the television experience, and Agama, a specialist in video observability and analytics, today announced an expanded technology partnership aimed at advancing Quality of Experience (QoE) and operational intelligence for broadband and pay-TV service providers globally.
Building on successful joint deployments, the expanded collaboration brings deeper, out-of-the-box integration between Minerva’s next-generation entertainment platform, powered by its conversational AI companion, Minny, and Agama’s end-to-end video observability and analytics solution. Minerva applies AI to how viewers discover and enjoy TV, while Agama applies AI to how operators understand and improve the service behind it, making the two solutions a natural fit. As operators adopt hybrid architectures and Android TV, using them together gives teams a clear view of the viewer experience on every device and across the full delivery chain.
As operators navigate content fragmentation, super-aggregation across multi-device ecosystems, and the technical demands of high-concurrency live sports streaming, maintaining complete visibility from headend ingestion down to the client device is mission-critical. The joint solution enables video service providers to transform video delivery from a passive stream into an intelligent, proactive service. By identifying and isolating streaming bottlenecks before they impact the living room, operators can protect Quality of Experience, reduce subscriber churn, and drive measurable viewer dwell time.
“Delivering next-generation television requires more than great content; it requires an effortless, uninterrupted viewing experience,” said Fabrizio Capobianco, Chief Innovation Officer of Minerva Networks. “By combining Minerva’s AI-driven platform with Agama’s AI-assisted observability and analytics, teams can see what stands out, understand why it is happening and act faster. That means shorter time-to-fix, more efficient operations and viewers who stay engaged, helping operators get more value from their video service.”
“We are delighted to build on our collaboration with Minerva,” said Johan Görsjö, Director of Product & Engineering at Agama. “Minerva applies AI to how viewers discover and enjoy TV, while Agama applies AI to how operators understand and improve the service behind it, so our solutions fit naturally together. As operators adopt hybrid architectures and Android TV, they need a clear view of the viewer experience on every device and across the full delivery chain. By combining Minerva’s AI-driven platform with Agama’s AI-assisted observability and analytics, teams can see what stands out, understand why it is happening and act faster. That means shorter time-to-fix, more efficient operations and viewers who stay engaged, helping operators get more value from their video service.”
The pre-validated, low-risk integration delivers a turnkey, cloud-native path for operators to accelerate time-to-market for modern entertainment services while maintaining carrier-grade reliability across millions of streams.

IBC 2026 Takeaways: Why TV Operators Are Turning to Agentic AI and Super Aggregation

Walking into the RAI Amsterdam for IBC 2026, the shift across the international broadcast and pay television landscape was immediately palpable. For years, industry gatherings traded in speculative promises, abstract algorithms, and flashy user interface concepts that rarely survived contact with complex broadcast infrastructure. This year in Amsterdam, that era closed for good. Television operators, video service providers, and tier-1 telcos arrived with a clear operational mandate: deploy scalable architectures that directly lower operational expenses, curb subscriber churn, and protect high-margin service monetization in an increasingly fragmented streaming economy.

Minerva’s Team Attending IBC 2026 in Amsterdam

As we approach the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2026 in Amsterdam this September, we want to share a preview of the architectural frameworks and business strategies Minerva Networks will be presenting to the industry. Our focus remains on helping operators navigate the transition from legacy infrastructure to intelligent, cloud-based video ecosystems while optimizing their financial models.
Strategic Market Expansion
Before detailing our technical showcase, we are pleased to announce our recent strategic partnership with NCTC, the National Content & Technology Cooperative, to serve the US market. Furthermore, as we continue to scale our solutions globally alongside our business partners, we are excited to share that Minerva is collaborating with CVE Communication Video Engineering for our expansion on the Italian market. These collaborations validate our unified platform approach and serve as foundational blueprints for our ongoing growth.
Key Technical Themes at IBC 2026
AI as an Operational Engine for Sports ROI
With the escalating costs of live sports broadcasting rights, operators need data-driven tools to maximize content ROI and protect subscriber retention. Rather than relying on viewers to manually scrub through hours of recorded DVR footage, Minerva utilizes specialized AI engines to analyze real-time game metadata. At IBC, we will demonstrate how these tools dynamically repackage broadcasts to increase Daily Active Users (DAU) and extend platform dwell time:
- Smart Highlights: An automated engine that generates short, customized video clips based on specific play types and the viewer’s exact available time window.
- Instant Catch-Up: A dynamic feature allowing viewers who tune in late to a live match to instantly review significant past plays before seamlessly transitioning to the real-time broadcast.
- Minnie Companion: A conversational GenAI assistant enabling viewers to discover and interact with sports content via natural language.
The Practical Path to Cloud-Based IPTV
We will outline our migration methodology for transitioning from closed, legacy IPTV infrastructure toward flexible Broadband TV architectures. The objective is to phase out legacy systems incrementally, thereby maintaining service continuity and minimizing operational disruption.
- Cross-Platform Architecture: Our solution supports multi-device deployment across mobile devices, retail streaming sticks, and Android or Linux set-top boxes, offering a consistent interface linked to a single account.
- System Specifications: The platform utilizes the Android TV Client 3.5 architecture, featuring advanced application launch capabilities and QR-code authentication. This ensures full compliance with hardware standards through 2026.
Financial Alignment and the Pay-As-You-Grow Model
Our cloud solutions are designed to eliminate heavy upfront capital expenditures (CapEx). By shifting expenses to a predictable operational expenditure (OpEx) pay-as-you-go model that matches actual subscriber growth, we allow operators to modernize their legacy video services with significantly reduced financial risk.
Monetization Without Friction
A core topic of our IBC presentation will be how keeping users within the operator’s unified ecosystem unlocks higher-margin revenue streams. Our architecture allows operators to monetize the discovery journey seamlessly via FAST channels and TVOD rentals. Furthermore, our AI-powered Ad Manager analyzes viewer engagement to optimize the frequency, number, and duration of pre-roll or interstitial ad insertions, ensuring maximum revenue capture without causing viewer fatigue.

Minerva 11 (M11) Debuts at the World Cup: Millions of Concurrent Streams, Zero Drama
Minerva 11 (M11) Debuts at the World Cup: Millions of Concurrent Streams, Zero Drama

The World Cup has become the ultimate stress test for streaming infrastructure. As broadcasters and operators around the world reported record-breaking online viewership for this summer’s tournament, one milestone happened quietly behind the scenes: the commercial debut of M11, Minerva‘s next-generation streaming platform, at one of the largest pay-TV operators in Latin America.
It was, by any measure, a baptism by fire. And the numbers speak for themselves.
The Numbers
During the World Cup final, the platform sustained:
- 2,667,215 concurrent devices
- 9.16 Tb/s of CDN traffic
But the single toughest moment of the tournament wasn’t even the final. On July 7th, the Argentina vs. Egypt match pushed the platform to its highest load of the entire World Cup:
- 2,881,097 concurrent devices
- 9.80 Tb/s of CDN traffic
Nearly 2.9 million households and devices watching at once, on a single match, on a platform that had only just gone live. That is the kind of load that would make most streaming architectures buckle. M11 didn’t.
Why This Matters
Launching a new platform is always a risk. Launching it right before the biggest live sports event on the planet is a different kind of risk entirely. There is no soft opening, no gradual ramp, no room for a bad night. During the World Cup the platform either works or it doesn’t, in front of millions of people, in real time.
M11 is the successor to M10, the Minerva platform that has been powering pay-TV services for operators worldwide for years. M11 was built from the ground up to answer a simple question: what does a streaming platform need to look like to serve hundreds of millions of users, reliably, without hundreds of millions of dollars of infrastructure behind it?
A few things stand out in what M11 brings to the table:
- 10x more efficient than M10. The same hardware footprint now supports dramatically more concurrent users, which changes the economics of scaling a national streaming service.
- Linear auto-scaling to hundreds of millions of users. The architecture is designed to grow horizontally without the diminishing returns that plague many legacy platforms.
- Cloud-native and fully distributed. M11 offers complete geo-redundancy and is highly resilient to hardware or cloud outages, exactly the kind of resilience a World Cup final demands.
- Microservices with a decentralized, flexible data schema. This means new features and functionality can be built and shipped fast, without waiting on a monolithic release cycle.
- Observability and monitoring built in. Real-time dashboards give operators visibility into exactly what’s happening on the platform, as it happens.
- A refreshed admin UI. A cleaner, more modern experience for the teams who run the platform day to day.
A World Cup for Streaming
This year’s tournament confirmed something the industry has been circling for a while: live sports at scale is now a streaming problem, not just a broadcast problem. Millions of fans chose to watch major matches over broadband and mobile networks rather than traditional broadcast TV, and the infrastructure behind those experiences had to prove itself under real, unforgiving pressure.
M11 proved itself. Nearly 2.9 million concurrent devices, close to 10 Tb/s of CDN traffic, and a platform that stayed up and stayed fast through the tournament’s most demanding moments.
This is just the beginning for M11. Stay tuned for what’s next.
